☆ Hot Summer

☆ Currently Watching:

☆ So hello there.

☆ I've been thinking of starting a new blog. Honestly I don't really know what I'm doing with this one... it's more of a personal blog vs. my math blog, and then I really want to have a blog that's specifically more geared towards my college experience, to offer advice and that type of thing.
☆ Yeah, it's a lot like Kezzi's blog "The Diary of a Pocket-Sized Fresher", which is where I got the inspiration from. I absolutely want to help people like me, who are traveling long-distance for college. : )

☆ So here are some ideas for name for this blog:
- - - ☆ 5000 Miles East
- - - ☆ Temperature Drop
- - - ☆ SouthWest to NorthEast
- - - ☆ New Coastline
- - - ☆ Another Island

☆ Yes, I fail at coming up with titles. =_=; Whatevs, I'll figure it out later.

☆ The Math

Currently Watching:

☆ Weeeeeell our math team trip is coming up super soon. I can't believe we're already leaving for nationals next week!

☆ HOWEVER

☆ This is not my math blog (that would be math1337. go read it) so I'm gonna talk about other stuff.

☆ I started cleaning my room. c: At the rate this is going, I should be done in... another 5 days.
☆ Hopefully I get all this done before my trip. >.< So far I've halfway cleaned off my desk, thrown away tons of trash, and filled up two full office-sized boxes with papers I need to sort through.
☆ And I've got a whole bunch more... I'm gonna need more boxes. At least 4... possibly 5 or 6 boxes... will be totally filled. >_<;;

☆ Don't get me wrong, I like looking through all my old papers and stuff. I find lots of interesting drawings and many memories. <3 But it takes FOREVER and I'm also allergic to the dust sort of. :c And sneezing and itchy eyes aren't fun.

☆ I guess my main goal is to get my room sort of cleaned up before my school trip. And then I'll sort all the papers afterward when I get back, before I leave for college...
☆ Oh Em Gee... I can't believe I'm leaving so soon! In just a little over a month I'll be squared away in my dorm. ;_;

☆ Well, I'm gonna finish watching the next half of SorceressKassandra's Naka-kon vlog, do some school related stuff, and then head to bed, cuz it's late. :0 'Night anyone who reads this...

☆ OH, and P.S.
☆ Speaking of "math", apparently I have to take a math placement exam for college at the end of the summer... I knew studying math all summer every summer would always help me beyond high school. <3

☆ I've decided if I score in the top 5% I'm gonna buy myself that Gokai Blaster before I leave! ;D

☆ Abracadabra

Currently Watching:

☆ Well, a lot has definitely happened since my last post. It's hard to believe it's practically a month since I've blogged here... Time definitely is flying as fast as always.

☆ Since then, I've accomplished several things... and I've also failed to do several other things.

☆ Accomplished:
finished reading Sojourn by R.A. Salvatore
painted 2 paintings
almost finished my Touko cosplay (90% done)
won a costume contest with said cosplay, despite it being unfinished
finished reading My Girlfriend Is A Geek volume 1 by Pentabu
finished reading Source of Magic by Piers Anthony
learned how to paint strawberry nail designs and cherry blossom nail designs
attended a pool party
wore a casual dress for the first time in over a year
got my own savings account
initiated contact with my new college roommate via emailing
bought a Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger Mobirate cellphone morpher
drew lots of sketches

☆ Not Accomplished:
still no online store
still no math webcomic
still no clean bedroom
still no regular exercise routine
still no driver's license
still no boyfriend

☆ ... "orz

☆ Why does it seem like even though my list of things I "accomplished" is so much longer, all of the things on the short list that still need to be done are the most important, and I've neglected them?

☆ Urgh...

☆ There's no way I'm cut out to become a "grown up" anytime soon... It's like I'm forever cursed to never complete anything or suddenly blossom into a responsible and industrious young woman... "ABRACADABRA! I, the Sorceress of Teenagerdom, curse [name omitted] to forever be stuck in this realm, never to escape to the kingdom of adulthood! BWAHAHAHA!!!"
☆ ...Okay, I've been reading waaaay too much of the fantasy novels lately.
☆ And jokes aside, I am still forever still a teenager who just screws around all summer...

☆ ...Well, that was way too depressing. I'm gonna try to cheer myself up the way I best know how, pretend it's not that huge of a deal and focus on other things to avoid it~

☆ Anyway, I'm going to hopefully be able to hit up the mall this weekend, mainly the thrift store, to see if I can find the sufficient things I need to recreate that awesome top in the video I posted above.
☆ ...and maybe I'll also clean my room this week too.
...
☆ ...one step at a time...?

☆ Remember Me

☆ Currently Watching:

☆ So, my summer has been going pretty good so far since the last update. I checked back at my doctor's to pick up all my finished paperwork and according to the nurse I don't have TB, which is always nice.
☆ I've mostly been vegging out at home, although I have spent a bit of time doing my nails, catching up on sleep, sketching things, and playing Pokemon. Mom is telling me I should do stuff that's more "important" instead, like cleaning the house. My Coach is also mad at me for not getting the jump on my summer project for the team... yes, I know it's important. Yes, I'm working on it, sort of.
☆ It's just that I have a lot of things on my mind, and it's kind of hard to completely direct all of my focus and effort onto one thing every single waking moment without going completely insane and stir-crazy.

☆ On the plus side, my dad is going to help me open an online store... which I really think I need to put off until everything begins to settle down.
☆ Also, he took me to the beach. It was nice just walking around barefoot on the sand for a bit, picking up sea glass and shells. It was a good experience, and it gave me some inspiration for writing. Writing is supposed to be a collection of experiences, right? So I guess the more stuff I do this summer, the better...

☆ Time to buckle down and get my to-do list done this coming week... I wonder how it is that even when I've finally got a huge break from school, it still doesn't feel like it because I'm constantly trying to catch up on responsibilities that I'm falling behind on?

Graduation, Friends Forever...

☆ Currently Watching:

☆ Well, so far my summer has been going okay.

☆ Graduation was very emotional. I don't think I've ever gotten that many presents, not even at birthdays or Christmas... so many hugs, so much crying, so much drama... Seriously, someone could probably make an entire shoujo manga out of all the drama my friends and I have had in the last month... I won't go into it any deeper than that, though. Personal blog or not, I'd rather not post such personal stuff in a place where anyone can just stumble upon it.

☆ Anyway, after graduating I went to project grad, which would have completely sucked if not for my friends. Basically the main things that happened were I found out only 10 minutes before leaving that I couldn't bring a bag, tried to stuff as much necessities into my jacket as possible, nearly got my asthma inhaler confiscated by a chaperone, spent 45 minutes on a bus with idiotic screaming former-classmates, fell asleep, was rudely awoken from hitting my head on the window when mentioned idiots thought it would be a good idea to rock the bus...
☆ Then after actually arriving the only good things were the food, 2 of 6 hired entertainers, and giving goodbye hugs to everyone. The worst parts were the parents tricking us by making everyone think we were going swimming so we wore light clothes, then sticking us at the top of a mountain without blankets or warm clothes. Not to mention there was only one bathroom open for all 200 girls there, the foam pit was completely disgusting, there weren't enough activities in-between so my friends and I just sat around being awkward, they made us stand out in the rain... I would go on, but I don't want to turn this into a rant-journal. >_<

☆ The following morning when my parents picked me up my mom promptly decided to write an angry letter to the school for everything that happened and I fell asleep for the remaining daylight hours, then woke stayed up a bit playing Pokemon Black until midnight.

☆ This morning was much better. I went to my physical so I'm cleared on college medical paperwork. I also got a booster shot, and it came with a super cool Snoopy band aid. Then my mom and I had brunch together ( strawberry crepe and veggie omelette <3 ) and we came home. I played more Pokemon and made some jewelry to sell in the online store my dad said I have permission to open. I also started filling out the many thank you cards I need to write for all the presents I got.
☆ We had tacos for dinner and I practiced some ukulele. One day I'll eventually upload a picture of my ukulele ( lovingly named Hoku ), but for now I think I'll just wrap up this post and go back to playing Pokemon while I wait for someone I need to talk with to come online...

☆ ☆ ☆ We remember all the times we had together. And as our lives change... we will still be friends forever.

☆ Run Devil Run

☆ So I went to an end of the year party with my friends at Farrell's, and the party itself was really fun! We had cheeseburgers and ordered two ZOOs. It was cool to see the Farrell's people run around the restaurant carrying them, but I felt bad because I knew they must've been super tired towards the end because those things are HEAVY. O_O But here's a picture of our zoos in all their awesomeness.

Photobucket

☆ Yaaaaaay.

☆ But sadly, I have to say "the party itself" because afterwards there was a lot of drama. Basically, one of my friends is a total idiot because he agreed to go out with one of my girl friends, who has liked him for TWO YEARS, then told her a week later he changed his mind. DO NOT PLAY WITH A GIRL'S HEART LIKE THAT YOU STUPID STUPID MORON!!! >_< God, I'm so pissed at him right now it's not even funny. He even wore the shirt that she gave him for christmas to the party! I felt so terrible because we went to the bathroom and she cried because she couldn't look at him because of that. >_< And the REALLY stupid part is that HE DOESN'T EVEN REALIZE HOW STUPID HE'S BEING. For one of the smartest guys I know, he sure can be an IDIOT sometimes.
☆ So other than that, I was also trying to drop hints to this one other friend of mine that I like him, but... he's pretty much just as stupid as the first guy. >_< I've had a crush on him for a while, but recently I've tried to make it more pronounced. Unfortunately, none of what I tried worked... so yeah, forget this. I'm just going to have to swallow my nervousness and tell him straight up that I like him...
☆ ...no idea where or when, though. Because he's a very private person, so I need to do this when we're alone. Or over ichat, but that's a terrible idea and I'm not doing that. *sigh* I just need to hope that fate decides to stop being such a bitch and grants me that wish so I'll conveniently have a good situation to take advantage of.

☆ School is ending soon... I feel sad about that. High school and my whole childhood went by so fast. I don't really want to let go yet, though I know I have to. I just wish that life was easier to figure out... then again, I've heard before that life needs to balance. For everything that's terrible in life, there's something equally good that will happen. For the sake of my sanity, I hope that's true, because I just feel so empty right now with this situation...

☆ Gee

☆ Okay, I LIED about a LOT of "stuff happening since the last time I posted" in my last entry... no, now there's been an entire month since my last post... and way more stuff has happened. That is something I can say without exaggeration.

☆ To summarize everything into four main things, in order of what happened: I got accepted to college, I started my final quarter of high school, I got on academic probation, and I turned eighteen.

☆ Well, let's start off with some good news. I'm going to college. And not the local state college that most kids don't even want to go to. I'm going to be going to college in the big city. Not gonna say where, but it's an arts college on the east coast. <3 I'm so. Freaking. HAPPY!!! I can hardly believe I was accepted! I'm so glad, though. I can't wait to go. Although, I will miss my home and my friends, who are mostly either staying home or going to the west coast... But I'm focusing on the positives. I'm so excited that I'll get to devote all my time to studying a subject I love and hope to excel in. I'll be living on my own for the first time... On the downside, I'll have to do my own laundry, and catching public transport on a regular basis will definitely be a new experience... But whatever! I'm going to college, I'm making myself and my family proud, and that's enough to help me hold my head high and celebrate life. <3 <3 <3 ^_^

☆ Starting my final quarter of high school is, to quote one of my friends, "bittersweet". I'm happy I won't have to take classes I don't fully enjoy, but on the other hand, I'm sad I'll be leaving the place that has been like a home for me the past four years. I mean, seriously. On a weekly basis, I spend at least 36 to 46 hours on campus for something-or-other. =_=;; Yeah, I'm tired ALL THE TIME... but I'll miss it. : ( I'll miss fishburger day in the dining hall, I'll miss the amazing library, I'll miss my teachers (most of them anyway), I'll miss my coaches, I'll miss the free use of the gym to do afterschool workouts, I'll even miss pulling the occasional all nighters... though that'll probably happen a lot in college anyway.
☆ It's hard to believe that it's almost over... I don't think it's even fully hit me yet. Probably because with the exception of religion class, everything is almost exactly the same as last quarter...

☆ Speaking of things that aren't exactly the same, you can BET my parents are completely and utterly mega ultra upset I'm on academic probation. So what prompted this? Well... I failed physics. Yeah, that's kind of the reason I wasn't around so much for the last month. That, and my AP Calc grade is slipping too... Honestly, I tried. Really. I just don't know why I can't get it... :'( Heck, I even thought I was improving... but I was wrong, obviously. So what does being on AP mean? It means I can't use Facebook during school (which doesn't affect me at all, since I'm antifacebook), I can't play on sports teams (which also doesn't affect me, because I don't play sports), and during my free time, excluding lunch, I need to report to study hall, which actually isn't that bad. Just a bunch of kids sitting in a quiet, air-conditioned room doing homework with people on hand to offer tutoring. So now I go there instead of sitting outside on the noisy, windy benches... ...how is this a punishment again? >_>;; (Okay, I guess it's a punishment for all the delinquent kids in there, but for me it's kind of a cakewalk...)

☆ Oh, I turned 18, by the way. Which is nice. Of course, being on AP (well, the bad kind) meant that the date I was going to go on with my boyfriend to celebrate today was canceled by my mom... and no more dates until my grade is up, either. DX My actual birthday wasn't today, but it was a weekday, so I had to go to school. I got a lot of birthday wishes from friends, and my boyfriend wrote me a song and got me an AWESOME action figure of Kikyo from Inuyasha! ( > w < )b Is he awesome or what? As for other presents, my best friend has something planned for the future, my dad gave me a super cute charm bracelet made of seaglass, and I also got some money. :3 After school my parents and I went out for sushi, since it's my favorite food, and we came home and I got yummy birthday pie, which was quicky devoured over a 24 hour period. ( ^ _ ^ )b
☆ Even though my date was canceled, my parents still let me celebrate a *little* and took me shopping... I originally thought they were just going to drop me at the mall and leave me to my own devices... but no, they hovered all day... which I guess was the punishment portion for the AP thing... Damn, I wanted to go buy dirty yaoi comics now that I'm 18. Or a pocket knife. Or whatever else you need to be 18 to get... D: If you don't know, it's pretty hard to do with your dad hovering around... Oh well... maybe next time. >_<;;
☆ As for my actual haul:
☆ ☆ Bought With My Own Money/Birthday Stuff:
- - - - - ☆ "Vanilla Birthday Cake" Shampoo/Bubble Bath/Shower Gel (Free Birthday Gift Promo) [ Sephora ]
- - - - - ☆ a cute pink, floral patterned emory board
- - - - - ☆ Toki Doki Lip Balm Stain (Pink Martini) [ Sephora ]
- - - - - ☆ Tea Tree Face Mask [ Body Shop ] ( I needed a refill and had $10 store credit for my b-day! ;D )
- - - - - ☆ Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion [ Body Shop ] ( hey, it was a promo for 5 bucks... figured I'd try it )
- - - - - ☆ Japanese Cherry Blossom Puree Body Lotion [ Body Shop ] ( I've wanted this for a while but wanted to wait until I had more money before I bought it <3 )
- - - - - ☆ Hello Kitty cell phone charm
☆ ☆ Bought By My Parents As Gifts/Whatever:
- - - - - ☆ new sneakers [ Payless ] ( okay, this wasn't so much of a "birthday gift" as "oh geez your school shoes are falling apart we should get you new ones )
- - - - - ☆ "Antoni Gaudi" by Maria Antonietta Crippa [ Borders ] ( oh, how I L-O-V-E books on architecture! <3 )
- - - - - ☆ "Wild Ones, Vol 8" by Kiyo Fujiwara [ Borders ] ( the agreement I have with my parents: for every educational book I read of my own free will, they will pay for one manga book... excluding dirty stuff... ^_^;; )
- - - - - ☆ "Physics For Dummies" [ Borders ] ( ...very subtle mom. )
☆ Well, I guess I can't complain. My parents were nice enough to buy my books, AND afterwards we ate ice cream... Still truly going out and celebrating my birthday over the weekend will have to come later, I guess.

☆ Overall I've run into a few bumps, but I can't complain about life right now, at least not too much. At least the bad stuff will get better. I've got a physics tutor lined up, I'm sending in my admission conformation to college shortly, and I got an awesome haul from the mall this weekend, explicit yaoi or not.

☆ Visual Dreams

☆ A lot has happened since I last posted.

☆ First off, Valentines Day. I made my boyfriend a cute card about 12 by 10 inches. I colored on it with my prismas, glued origami hearts to it, and gave it a double rainbow theme. ;D I also baked him brownies.
He got me a balloon (which, surprisingly, is still alive),  a box of chocolates (which is loooong gone), an Inuyasha acion figure <3, and a cute stuffed panda bear, about 6 inches and SUPER soft. I have named him Zhi Shu, and my dad as nicknamed him "fried rice". XD Mom thinks hes cute too, and she tried to steal him from me yesterday. ( > . >)'' Another friend of mine also gave me a box of chocolates... those are gone too. XD

☆ This week at school has been very interesting. I'm learning quite a bit from all my classes, but I still feel like I'm falling asleep in economics and calc... Probably because it's so cold it makes me sleepy. D: Oh well, guess I just have to deal, ne?
Ukulele is also going splendidly! My grandparents surprised me by BUYING ME AN UKULELE. HOLY CRAP... <3 <3 <3 I feel so grateful! People have been using up all the take-home ones, so now I can practice at home... I named my ukulele Hoku and she is BEAUTIFUL.
In the realm of Fiction Writing... my teacher took my short story and one of my best friend's short stories and showed them as examples to the class! I feel so proud! (-^_^-)V

☆ And in geek news, I caught a shiny ponyta while playing HeartGold the other day. It's a timid female, and I named her Nova. She's adorable, and I'm going to get her an everstone because I don't like shiny rapidashes. D: Sorry, but shiny ponyta is cooler kthnx.

☆ Lastly, I'm going to attempt to upload SOMETHING on my math blog ASAP... because I really should, or I'm just wasting bandwidth. "orz
